How to send email from BugNET

Maybe I'm missing something obvious. If so, sorry. BugNET has extensive email capabilities which is why I'm confused as to why I can't solve this common problem.

I have the system set up to send and receive emails. The system accepts emails from the inbound mailbox and sends notifications when tickets are updated.

However there seems to be no way to just send an email form the system. When an agent receives a ticket from the inbound mail handler, there's no way to reply from the ticket.

Surely I'm missing something.

If I understand correctly, you want to reply to notifications you get from BugNET? If so, you are not missing anything and this feature isn't available.

I think you misunderstand.

The support process is:

user > sends email > picked up by bugnet POP3 & ticket created > support agent needs to reply to user > ?? has to leave BugNET and send email from email app ??

That is correct. To reply to notifications you have to reply outside of BugNET and there is no functionality to reply to a BugNET notification through email like you can here on codeplex.
