v1.4.256.0: Is it possible to save column setting in issue list

Topics: Customizing BugNET

I just started to try out and have a question on the issue list:
You can configure to hide / show columns but obviously this setting isn't saved and is gone the next time the page is loaded.

Is it somehow possible to save the settings? Or should I create an Issue for this?

What about the new default-values (which were just introduced?) Shouldn't it be permitted to choose them as columns when their visibility is deactivated in the project's default values settings?

Thanks for any advice! And nice work so far! Cool application!

Hi,

If the user is logged in their selected issue columns are saved in their profile, and if you are logged / anonymous user then the selected issue columns are stored in a cookie.

Right now you cannot set the default columns that are displayed with the default values but this would be a good addition.

Hello dubeaud,

thanks for your respone. Unfortunately it doesn't work on my installation with the storage of the selected columns. I've configured SSO for my user account (inside AD domain, so I am logged in automatically.) I've also checked with both Firefox and IE, same result: I can choose the columns and click save, then the view is adjusted as desired but as soon as I do site refresh, the setting is lost and all columns are displayed.
Do you have any guidance on how to see what's going wrong?

Thank you

Can you tell me the page you are testing this on?

Thanks.

It's on the page <server>/bugnet/Issues/IssueList.aspx?pid=1
I open it from the root by hovering quick links/filters of the project and then clicking All under Filters...

Per chance, has this issue been looked at? I am very interested in deploying BugNET enterprise wide but the fields required will vary greatly project to project. It would be extremely useful (and easier to the eye) to be able to permanently present only those columns relevant to the project. Thanks in advance for your reply.

If you are an anonymous user the selected columns are stored in a cookie, otherwise they are stored in your user profile when logged in.
