To enable seamless creation of users from Active Directory or Windows SAM when they visit the application then you will need to perform these additional steps.
  1. Log into the BugNET issue tracker as an administrator
  2. Goto the Administration -> Application Configuration -> Authentication Settings section.
  3. Set your User Account Source, Active Directory or Windows SAM
  4. Enter your domain without the suffix in the Domain field. i.e For MyDomain.org you would enter MyDomain
  5. If your domain needs authentication to lookup users enter the username and password in the proper fields
  6. Locate the AuthenticationModule http module tags in the web.config and uncomment it.
    <httpModules>
    <!-- BugNET HttpModules --> <add name="AuthenticationModule" type="BugNET.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, BugNET.HttpModules.Authentication" />
    </httpModules>
    and
    <system.webServer>
    <modules>
    <!-- BugNET HttpModules --> <add name="AuthenticationModule" type="BugNET.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, BugNET.HttpModules.Authentication" />
    </modules>
Based on the steps above, please correct if my understanding is not right, after configuring, we can add users that are newly added in our Active Directory/Domain? Hence we can log in all the users of that Domain/Server in the system?

Please explain, :D

The key is this statement - To enable seamless creation of users from Active Directory or Windows SAM when they visit the application..

When configured, AD users get their accounts created in BugNET when they access the application.

You mean, when configured, the user accounts in BugNET will automatically have an account in the AD?
