Lost email notification with v1.1.213.0

Hi there,

just updated from v1.0 to v1.1 and I lost email notifications.

I made the ReceiveEmailNotifications change in the web.config but no emails are being sent out. The only email I can see being sent out is the test email from the application configuration.

Event log is (tragically) empty.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you.

Can you verify that the ReceiveEmailNotifications column exists in the "BugNet_UserProfiles" table, and that all the values are 1?

Yup, column is there and all values are 1 (true).

I fixed some errors with the logging last night, I am not sure if those would effect it but notifications are working for me now.

You can see the configuration change to the log4net.config file here which adds the connection string to your database:

Explicinting the connectionString in the log4net.config and setting the level to ALL got my logging back to life (!) with a single entry "Application started".
Still no notifications are being sent nor errors produced by the lack of them.

Also in this change set, notifications are no longer sent to users that modify them. I am not sure if this is what you are experiencing.

Aye. That is it.

I can see my that mail server is logging email being sent to other subscribers of an issue.

Thank you!
